İngilizce İyelik Zamirleri (Possessive Pronouns in English)
Possesive pronouns, bir ismin yerine geçer ve nesnenin kime ait olduğunu gösterir. Başka bir deyişle aitlik sıfatı (possessive adjective) ile belirtilen tamlamaların yerine geçer.
İngilizcede aitlik zamirleri (Possessive pronouns in English):
My (benim) > Mine (Benimki)
Your (senin) > Yours (Seninki)
Her (onun) > Hers (Onunki)
His (onun) > His (Onunki)
Its (onun) > possessive pronoun hali yoktur.
Our (bizim) > Ours (Bizimki)
Your (sizin) > Yours (Sizinki)
Their (onların) > Theirs (Onlarınki)
Examples (Örnek Cümleler);
This mobile phone is mine. (=This mobile phone is my mobile phone.)
Bu telefon benim.
That black jacket is hers. (=That black jacket is her jacket.)
Şu siyah ceket onun.
My room is cleaner than yours. (=my room is cleaner than your room.)
Benim odam seninkinden daha temiz.
Their teacher is young, ours is old. (=their teacher is young, our teacher is old.)
Onların öğretmeni genç, bizimki yaşlı.
Not:
İyelik zamirleri cümlede hem özne (subject) hem nesne (object) konumunda kullanılabilir.
Özne konumunda;
Mine is faster than your computer. (mine = my computer)
Benimki, senin bilgisayarından daha hızlı.
Nesne konumunda;
Your book is more interesting than hers. (hers = her book)
Senin kitabın onunkinden daha ilgi çekici.

Possessive Pronouns’tan sonra isim kullanılmaz.
This is mine cat. (yanlış)
This cat is mine. ya da This is my cat. (doğru)
Not:
Possessive Pronouns (a) friend of … kalıbıyla sıklıkla kullanılır.
Jason is a friend of mine from school.
Jason benim okuldan arkadaşım.
I saw a friend of yours at the party.
Partide arkadaşlarından birini gördüm.
Are those boys friends of hers?
